Nine simple steps to a safer, faster solution

Here’s what happens with our service:

1. We create a username and password and email a link with instructions to the applicant/employee/volunteer on how to complete the form online.

2. We also send a username and password to the Manager to verify ID details.

3. The applicant/employee/volunteer uses the link to the https://derbyshire.employmentcheck.org.uk web page and logs in to complete the simple, easy to follow form.

4. An automatic validation check of the personal information input on the application form will take place preventing the form from being submitted if it’s incomplete or contains errors thus saving time for everyone involved.

5. The applicant/employee/volunteer will receive an email confirming that their form has been successfully submitted.

6. The Manager/ID Verifier will receive an automatic e-mail stating that the ID section now needs to be completed.

7. The Manager checks the ID with that supplied by the applicant/employee/volunteer, enters the details and submits the form.

8. The form is then countersigned by the DBS Team and sent electronically via eBulk to the DBS for processing.

9. The results are received electronically and only if there is information i.e. a Trace on the disclosure will the Manager/ID Verifier have to see the actual disclosure, so that a recruitment decision (if required) can be made.
